I am a Swedish associate professor in the Study of religion presently affiliated to Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden. My main research interests are Shiite Islam, contemporary Iranian religion and religion among Roma and Gypsies. I am interested in religion as it is practiced on grass roots level and my research has been conducted by means of interviews and participant observation. I have vast experience of teaching religious studies on both under- and postgraduate levels..
